The first activities of the "Conservation and restoration of xerothermic grasslands in Poland - theory and practice" project entailed collecting existing material on the specific areas where we will be working. Among the materials assembled are nature valorizations, existing conservation plans for nature reserves, nature documentation for the purpose of establishing a proposed form of protection, excerpts and map extracts from the Land Register, scientific articles, topographic maps from various periods, satellite photographs, SDFs for the natural areas and oral information that may be useful in the future during the conservation of the grasslands that are of interest to us. These materials allow us to produce the so-called technical documentation that is to serve as the information base for further activities planned in the project. Because the areas are scattered geographically and have a complicated ownership structure, this was no easy task, and the documentation for some of the areas amounts to even several hundred pages.
