In December logging trees and shrubs in Odra and Warta Valley has started. First we had to deal with grasslands in nature reserve "Sunny Hils" created by our initiative. All plots are located inside protection zone of Sea Eagle, so any actions can be conducted to the end of December (Sae Eagel already in January prepares to nesting). Our contractor managed well with Radun's grasslands, although they were in very poor conditions: partially afforestated, covered with dense shrubs of blackthorn, hawthorn and dogwood. Actions were additionally hampered by poor weather conditions especially deep snow cover, which make moving through steep slopes very difficult, and after melting was changing clay slopes into slides. Afterwards cutting shrubs in Zatoń Dolna was started. The area was purchased by Naturalists Club in order to rescue natural values of grasslands by restoring extensive pasturing. But to make it possible grasslands have to be appropriately cleared and enclosed with fence.
